Ingredients
- 3 to 4 pounds beef chuck roast
- 4 large carrots, sliced
- 4 potatoes, cubed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season the beef roast with salt and pepper, then sear it in a hot skillet until browned on all sides.
- Place the carrots, potatoes, and onion in the bottom of the slow cooker. Add the minced garlic on top.
- Pour beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the vegetables. Sprinkle thyme.
- Place the seared roast on top and cover the slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or on high for 4 to 6 hours, until the beef is tender and easily shredded.
